UAE and China Plan to Manufacture Air Taxis in Abu Dhabi
The UAE (United Arab Emirates) and China will manufacture electric planes and passenger drones also called air taxis in Abu Dhabi. In addition, Monarch Holdings and Ehang Holdings plan to manufacture facilities that develop and operate eco-friendly aircraft and drones that can carry passengers and cargo for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The collaboration will also help achieve several goals, including producing electric planes and drones, building a command and control center to manage urban air transport, and building infrastructure for Vertiport along with facilities to operate these aircraft.

Abu Dhabi Deputy Minister for Economic Development Rashed Abdul Karim Al Blooshi said Emirates is prioritizing and considering a knowledge-based, innovation-driven economic sector.
He also added that industrial strategy will play a key role in reaching or achieving goals. It focuses on using different methods and technologies such as Industry 4.0, circular economy, talent development, ecosystem support, and value chain development.
