Punjab plans to launch an e-registration system for property registration.
As per the news report, on April 27, South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Capt(rtd) Saqib Zafar give ordered the Secretary to launch an e-registration system for property registration in the area to ensure transparency of the process.

During the meeting, ACS directed the relevant authorities to take action to strengthen good governance and service delivery. Moreover, Public complaints of fraud and corruption will be addressed with the launch of an electronic registration system. The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), electronic stamping system and e-registration system are all connected.
ACS added that using this advance system would eliminate all opportunities for tax evasion and loss of documents. Also it would help streamline the real estate industry. Furthermore, Tax officers will also be trained on all possible procedures and will use the knowledge gained from the ongoing Sahiwal Department e-registration pilot project.
