ARY Laguna Groundbreaking Ceremony took place at DHA Gujranwala

As per the ARY News report, an important event, the groundbreaking ceremony for ARY Laguna, was held at the DHA Gujranwala on Thursday, August 31st, 2023.

The event was attended by ARY Laguna Chairman Mr. Salman Iqbal and DHA Gujranwala Project Director Muhammad Aslam Khan Niazi, as well as entrepreneurs, investors, DHA officers, and prominent businessmen. GOC Gujranwala Major General Abdul Moeed Khan was the main guest at the groundbreaking ceremony for ARY Laguna.

At the event, when ARY Laguna President Salman Iqbal announced that he would bring ARY Laguna to Gujranwala, many people questioned why he was choosing Gujranwala. “Mr. Salman Iqbal told them that Punjab would accept me with an open heart.”

He recalled that he came up with this unique concept while the country was dealing with the COVID-19 lockdown, and launching such a real estate project and making it a success was a difficult task.

“People were doubtful about water availability and other issues, but now when you visit Karachi (the ARY Laguna site), you can see that the water problem has been solved and the lagoon construction is proceeding at a fast pace,” said Salman Iqbal.

Salman Iqbal has mentioned that ARY Laguna Gujranwala will be the largest lagoon project in the world.

Addressing the economic crisis the country is experiencing, Chairman ARY Laguna said he hoped that a resilient people would emerge from the crisis.

MOU Ceremony

In December 2020, ARY Laguna and DHA Gujranwala agreed to construct a Beach View Society in Gujranwala, following the same pattern as DHA City Karachi.

The MOU was signed by Chairman ARY Laguna, Mr. Salman Iqbal, and Project Director DHA Gujranwala, Brigadier General Amer Kiyani, at a ceremony attended by Corps Commander Gujranwala, Lieutenant General Asim Munir.

Chairman of ARY Laguna, Mr. Salman Iqbal, said, “crystal lagoon in ARY Laguna Gujranwala will be the largest in the world and will upgrade the standard of living in the city.”

Project Director DHA Gujranwala Brigadier Amer Kiyani thought that ARY Laguna was a unique and innovative project and that the DHA administration would provide 400 acres of land for the project. It features artificial lagoons with crystal-clear waters and white sand, private beaches for residents, and a variety of water sports facilities.
