China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Chairman (retd) Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa told the media that the port of Gwadar is fully operational and now it is possible to book goods delivery online.
Many other members present at the event i.e Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alyani, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar.
Asim Saleem Bajwa added that about 12,000 jobs were offered at Gwadar in the last three years. He also said that the construction of Gwadar Airport is undergoing major changes, projects in the city of Gwadar have been approved a hospital that will also be built in Gwadar with the help of China.
At a meeting in Gwadar, the head of the CPEC authorities told the press that work on the second phase of the Gwadar Free Zone is underway, and work on other projects related to the port of Gwadar have also been accelerated in the last two and a half years.
He thanked the Prime Minister for personally overseeing the CPEC, and paid tribute to the security forces who kept law and order and sacrificed themselves in accordance with their duties.
