The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to build an underpass at T-Junction in Gulshan-e-Ravi near Band Road. The Provincial Working Party (PWP) has approved PKR 3.4 billion for the project that will be submitted for approval at its January meeting.

As per the news, LDA planned to modernize the T-Junction, but the proposed project to develop the underpass has been canceled. The purpose of the new project is to build an underpass and wide Band Road.

The length of the new underpass will be 470 meters. A one-way underpass will be built on the road from Sagian to the Babu Sabu Interchange. According to the LDA, the project's initiative is to improve traffic flow on one of the city's busiest routes, which carries significant traffic and connects two of the city's busiest areas.

Band Road is full of many potholes as traffic bottlenecks are common. The LDA is also determined to be a double-lane underpass in Samanabad Chowk that would minimize traffic pressure to and from Gulshan-e-Ravi.
