According to the report, the minister said in a provincial assembly questioning session that the new master plan would help reduce growing population concerns and increase pressure on resources. The legalization of illegal housing plans built on state or agricultural land is also a focus of this plan. According to the minister, the plan will help the city's long-term sustainability.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently hosted a seminar to incorporate proposals into urban infrastructure development in consultation with foreign experts, engineers and the general public. According to LDA sources, the plan will focus on four areas: smart city infrastructure, urban transport, urban governance, pollution and urban development normalization.
