The authority will Look at exemption records, land acquisitions and transfers, general public plot allocations, compensation, exchanges of plot allocations, developments, mortgaged plots, original maps, and other related matters. In addition, ACE will investigate the issue of duplicate residential plot files in Johar Town and other locations.

It should be noted that the LDA is the only regulatory body overseeing all residential land in Lahore. LDA has banned and warned of numerous unauthorized residential and commercial projects. The Lahore Master Plan 2050 will regulate the city's land use and the Punjab government has already ordered the LDA to do so.
