The Maulana Shaukat Ali Signal free Corridor project will be expanded and linked with the Babu Sabu Interchange to allow motorists (entering the corridor at the Qainchi stop on Ferozepur Road) to access the highway and vice versa.
If approved, the proposal to extend the existing 15 km corridor route by 3 to 4 km, linking the highway with the Ferrozeppur Road, will be shortened from 1 hour to 20 minutes.
Another option is to turn right along the ditch (after about 500m) to Sabzazar Scheme, then left at Liaqat Chowk, then left to touch the highway via Babu Sabu interchange.

The project will have multiple interventions at various points including the construction of underpasses, flyover, protected U-turns, pedestrian bridges, overpasses/pathways for motorcyclists and sidewalks for pedestrians. It will also help the government secure service roads on both sides of the existing Maulana Shaukat Ali Road from intruders (auto showroom dealers and other business outlets).
