As per the advertisement on the LDA's official Facebook page, the Lahore Development Authority has reminded the people who have been allotted plots in the first and second balloting by the LDA City Lahore to pay their unpaid development charges by March 31. After the deadline, the authorities have a right to cancel the land allocation.

As per the report, this notification contains the following guidelines for project file holders and allottees::
If the dues are not paid, the allotted plots will be canceled as per the terms and conditions indicated in the authority's waiver letter. In addition, LDA said last month that it will need between 6 billion and 9 billion to complete the development work on the housing project. To get this funding, the authorities have decided to take a loan of PKR 5 billion from the Bank of Punjab (BOP). The funds will be used to complete civic projects and road infrastructure.
