As per the news, a site was proposed for the construction of a cricket stadium in Islamabad on January 13th. The stadium is expected to hold approximately 60,000 audiences.

CDA Chair Amir Ali Ahmed, Deputy Director Islamabad Hamza Shafqat, Prime Minister's Special Assistant Ali Nawaz Awan, Rawalpindi Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah Commissioner, CDA Member Engineering Sayed Munawar Shah and others attended the review meeting chaired by the Asad Umar Planning Minister.

The CDA presented the design and proposed location of the cricket field at the meeting. Chairman Ahmed proposed building the stadium in Saidpur.

Planning Minister Umar also directed the CDA to investigate other project locations. It has been decided that the CDA will seek another location and both confirmed locations will be submitted along with the design to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan for final approval.

However, CDA provides the stadium site and the PCB ( Pakistan Cricket Board ) builds it.
