The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has completed prequalification of the company for two important road infrastructure projects in the city, as per news reported.
Authorities have decided to start construction work on a road adjacent to the Babu Sabu interchange and the dualization of the Burki Road-BRB canal road in the coming months.
In addition, the authorities said seven companies have qualified for the PKR 400 million Burki Road project and four companies have qualified for the PKR 242.7 million Babu Sabu Road infrastructure project. LDA will begin construction of the project in the current fiscal year (FY 2021-22).
In another infrastructure development update, Punjab Prime Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited the construction site of the Gulab Devi Underpass. LDA Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar briefed him on the construction work and said the underpass would be completed by December.
He said the contractor has finished excavating the underpass and renovations & road carpeting work will begin soon. According to the prime minister, the project will play an important role in solving the city's traffic problems, so the project construction work is needed to complete on the time.
