LDA builds three-lane flyover at Bhekewal Mor

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) plans to make a three-lane flyover in Bhekewal Mor to relieve traffic congestion on the road linking Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab with Main Boulevard Allama Iqbal Town, news sources reported.

It is estimated that the project will cost PKR 1.9 billion to complete and will benefit 200,000 drivers daily.

According to the LDA's preliminary plan, the Bhekewal Mor flyover from Sheikh Zayed Hospital to Allama Iqbal Town Boulevard will be built, Moreover new U-turns on the main boulevard and road to Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

Furthermore, LDA has started work on the reconstruction of Khayaban-e-Firdousi Road. Proposed plans include rebuilding roads to and from Allah-Hoo Chowk in Johar Town and construction of new U-turns and traffic lights in Khayaban-e-Firdousi.

The project contract has already given to Messrs Concept Engineering, and is worth is PKR 90.6 million. It is expected to be completed within two months.
