According to the latest news, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday (December 31) approved the construction of an international standard cricket stadium in Islamabad.
At a meeting with Ramiz Raja, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Prime Minister Khan proposed approval in principle to build a stadium with unmatched facilities. He directed the PCB chairman to use all available resources to complete the construction of the stadium as quickly as possible.
According to Ramiz Raja, every effort will be made to build the stadium before 2025 so that the Champions Trophy can be played. At this meeting, the 7th Pakistan Super League (PSL) was also discussed.
