Chief Minister Punjab (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar will launch the Gulab Devi Underpass project on December 25th. The current government has decided to name the underpass 'Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass' in honor of Pakistan's famous charitable person.

According to the report, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) confirmed the opening date of the underpass from the Office of the Prime Minister (CMO) on December 25. Essential preparations are being made for this inauguration.
The aluminum design for the underpass beautification is nearing completion, and electrical work is expected to be completed soon. The underpass was due to be completed in February 2022 under Project Concept-1 (PC-1), but CM Buzdar has asked LDA to complete the project by December. LDA will install lighting a day before December 25 and proceed with line marking.
