As per the latest news, Punjab's Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved the transfer of 122-Kanal land near Kot Lakhpat to the Health Department for the construction of a 1000-bed hospital.

LDA Director-General Ahmed Aziz Tara, under the direction of CM Buzdar, announced the possession of the land for the construction of the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department (SH&MED). The department has purchased the site for PKR 2.033 billion and plans to deposit the money in the LDA account by February 1, 2022.
