Chairman Lt. Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority has said so far invested USD 13 billion in Pakistan under the CPEC, which will bring more investment to Pakistan.
Asim Bajwa, while visiting the Challenge Textile Factory on Lahore-Multan Road, spoke to the media and shared the news of a similar kind of $12 billion investment. He also said that several economic zones are part of a CPEC project aimed at attracting more foreign investors.
In addition, he praised China's Challenge Group, which established an international standard industrial unit. The chairman of the authorities also said the group will set up a challenging fashion export park in the country that will provide employment opportunities for thousands of people.
In addition, Asim Bajwa said that the visa period for Chinese investors will be extended to two years. He also noted that Pakistan is undergoing an economic revolution, attracting more foreign investors under the CPEC, which will help stabilize the PKR against the US dollar.
