The Minister of Local government and RDA (Rural Development Department) along with Faisal Amin Khan instructed Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) to begin work on the unfinished northern part of the ring road on Thursday.
According to the statement, the Minister visited the civic agency Office and was informed about new and ongoing development projects. He said PC-I for the underdeveloped portion of Ring Road will soon be approved by the Planning and Development Department (PADD). Meanwhile, an order was issued to immediately complete the land acquisition by local governments.
The minister said excessive delays would increase costs. He said delays in PC-I approval for reconstruction in the southern Ring Road area would increase the estimated cost of Rs980 million. The increased store will affect the entire Peshawar division in the preview of the PDA. He also ordered the immediate removal of obstacles from the construction of the last section of the Hayatabad Bypass. He said officials should also complete work on other development plans. The government will not compromise on the quality and speed of development projects. He also added that all ongoing and new projects in the provincial metropolis must be completed.
