development work on three highly anticipated road infrastructure projects; The Sheranwala Gate flyover, Ghulab Devi Underpass (Ferozepur Road) and Shahkam Chowk flyover (Link Canal Road) have begun, news media reported.
Reportedly, Director General of Lahore Development Authority Ahmad Aziz Tarar visited the construction site of the project, along with Chief Engineer LDA Abdul Razzaq Khan and Chief Executive Officer of the LDA Head, including relevant project directors.
Tarar instructed the chief engineer to complete the construction work on time and that no delays would be tolerated in the progress of the construction.
DG LDA Ahmad Aziz Tarar visited the Shahkam Chowk flyover project site with Chief Engineer LDA Abdul Razzaq Khan. The chief engineer informed that the flyover would be 600m long and that 75 Kanal lands would be acquired for the project.
During a conversation with a media representative, the director said that the project will take 10 months to complete and the estimated cost is PKR 4.25 billion. A road network of up to 10 km will also be part of the flyover.
