Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar said development work has begun at a 5-star hotel near the Gaddafi Stadium to accommodate foreign players the latest news reports.
CM said an underground or overhead bridge will be developed to connect the stadium and the hotel.
He made this information public in a conversation with UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Javi, who expressed interest in Punjab's construction and health sector.
In response, CM invited UAE people to invest in Walton Business Hub. Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Ravi Riverside Urban Development Project. He also convinced the ambassador that the facility was provided to investors by easily obtaining an objection-free certificate.
The ambassador said that UAE companies are interested in special economic zones and a UAE visa center will soon open in Lahore.
In a related development, Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht said the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) could start commercial activities on about 6000 acres of land once the proposal for the transfer of the Lahore-Walton airport facility is completed.
