Prime Minister Punjab has announced a major construction package for Lahore citizens. In this mega package of 60 billion rupees also includes building state-of-the-art hospitals. A huge amount of Rs. 7 billion is spent on hospital construction.

Rs. 1.3 billion will be spent on this public welfare project and 10 groundwater tanks will be built at a cost of 1 billion. An underpass is built near Gulab Devi hospital at the cost of Rs. 1 Billion to improve traffic flow. For the same purpose, more than 1.5 billion overhead bridges will be built in the Iqbal Town Karim Block Market.

$1 Billion Housing Projects

The Punjab government has agreed to launch a mega project to build 35,000 apartments in large cities to mitigate the pandemic's impact on local economies as COVID-19 begins to decline.

In a tweet on Monday, Punjab's Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar announced. The Chief Minister stressed that under the Prime Minister's Naya Pakistan Housing Program, the government is trying to launch a massive $1 billion housing plan for salaried communities in the provincial capital (NPHP).

Other Development Projects

Usman Buzdar says a state-of-the-art 1,000-bed hospital will be built on LDA land on Ferozepur Road near Arfa Karim Information Technology Park at a cost of Rs 7 billion.

The hospital's capacity is 400 general wards, 400 cardiology wards, and 200 blood disease wards.

The Health Department's summary of the hospital establishment has been approved by CM. He said a two-kilometre overhead bridge, starting from the Naulakha Police Station, will be built from the railway station to the Sheranwala Gate at a cost of Rs 4.5 billion.

e-Khidmat Centres

NOCs and proposals related to construction are now accepted at the e-Khidmat center. Without bribing anyone, the NOC is conveniently accessible from the e-Khidmat center, and individuals do not have to bring papers and continue attending the public office.

The government has set a deadline for issuing NOCs for construction-related facilities. Within a set period of time, the government is obligated to grant the applicant a NOC and permit.
