The US e-commerce giant, Amazon, has added Pakistan to its list of approved sellers, Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor (Commerce and Investment) to Prime Minister Pakistan recently announced.

The advisor said it has been working with Amazon since last year and is a great opportunity for Pakistani youth, small businesses and women entrepreneurs.

Pakistan is known to have been approved by Amazon to be able to register on a confirmed seller list. The updated list of countries will be posted on Amazon's official website within 12 to 24 hours.

Amazon has long avoided Pakistani sellers from selling their products on Amazon. Before selling on Amazon in Pakistan has been a tough process.

Users set up an account on Amazon outside Pakistan, ship their products to a proxy location in another country, and then ship to Amazon. Then Amazon offers these products to customers.

Earlier, Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs, made the same announcement on his Twitter profile.

Gill said Pakistan will now join the global market and make billions of dollars in the form of investment and employment opportunities.
